We know that family members who are care providers need a break from time to time to restore their energy and ensure that their health does not suffer from caring for a loved one. Our professional staff can take over your loved one's care while you take a rest. Whether it's for several days or several weeks, we will provide care in your absence.

We understand that end-of-life care may be difficult to discuss, however, it is best for family members to share their wishes long before it becomes a concern. If those decisions include hospice care, Hillside Manor ensures quality of life and comfort.

Physical therapists focus on movement including bed mobility, transferring from the bed to a chair or toilet, walking, using stairs, and wheelchair mobility. They also work with residents to decrease pain and improve strength, endurance, balance, and range of motion.

Occupational therapists help residents become more self-sufficient by retraining them in daily activities, increasing endurance and strength. They also teach residents how to protect their muscles and joints.

Speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat residents for hearing, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The focus is on improving speech-language expression, comprehension, and oral motor skills for speech and safe eating.

Once patients reach their goals, Restorative Therapy helps them maintain those levels of function including range of motion, walking, and self-care.
